What color would you want if you could have any that Kauni makes?

Just arrived – more Brittany crochet hooks, and two new listings: ten inch knitting needles, 10 mm and 12 mm (sizes 15 and 17).
The new knitting needles are in category Knitting Needles–> Brittany Chunky, and pictures will be added just as soon as I take some!

I’ve been reading about using large needles, and the authors feel that “large” begins at size 15, or 10 mm.

A customer described some homemade knitting needles, size 25 mm, and I want some! Not so much because of the size, but because they were made of walnut dowels and sound beautiful. I keep wondering, though, where would I find a pencil sharpener large enough to make the points?

This morning I got started deleting a few items in my eBay store, and ended up clearing it out. The lack of photos irritated me because with the best will in the world I could not change the listings, I could only delete them and do them over.

Having only one store is less confusing for everybody.

And now I am free of the eBay fees – that is cause for celebration!

On another topic, I found a picture of the new Brittany Shawl Pin at their site. It was good so I copied it and added it to the store description as an extra picture. There’s a nice story about how the shawl pin came to be. I like it. At 6 inches long it is long enough and strong enough to handle my 8 foot shawl made of Icelandic sock yarn.

Gail’s Y H N Store at eBay has already lost its pictures; that is, few eBay items have pictures.

This morning I began removing store items from eBay, and I set a lot of things to show ’1′ in stock. Where I could, I added information for the new store.

All the inventory is available in the new store, of course.

Today is March 28, 2009 and my new store opened this morning.
It’s a triumph! and I’m pleased.

The good people at ClearCart were most helpful during this trying time of getting started and I can recommend their software without reservation if you are in need of an online store. In fact, you can go to their website and play with their demo!
