Last year I started listening to a podcast of a novel called, “The Day I Died” by Griffith Hewitt. Not the sort of title I expected to enjoy, but I did. Icing on the cake was that another Gail (Love) was reading it! But it stopped in the middle.

So finally I bought the book from Amazon. It’s good. It is a good listen, but it may be an even better read.  I stayed up late last night, trying to find the answer to the mystery!

It was worth the price. An enjoyable, off-beat story.

Today I got the fourth and last Moonbeam Club fiber, and I hadn’t even posted the third one yet.

I got reasonable pictures, so I’m posting both.

First, “Holiday Pudding” 45% Alpaca, 25% milk, 25% bamboo, 5% merino, plus Angelina.

and the latest, “Darkenvane”  50% Alpaca, 25% milk, 25% bamboo, plus sparkle.

I’ll take more photos when these lovelies are spun.

This new (to me)  colorway is all pink! Light pink, dark pink , and in-between pink. It is very pretty.

I had half a skein of Rainbow Lace leftover from the first Laminaria, so I decided to make another one. I like the pattern and I gave away the first one, so it was an easy choice. This is how far I’ve got:

Then also I had some regular Rainbow leftover from making the DoubleKnitSki hat, so I started yet another Laminaria. I was curious how it would look in the bigger yarn. So far, so good:

Last week I sent off an order to Kauni and have already got the shipping tracking number, so it has shipped. The box will be here by the end of next week, and I hope a lot sooner. It contains more Rainbow, of course, plus more of some colors I am low on. Then there’s a new color, EE, which is pink: all kinds of pink. The pictures look lovely.

Kauni EEI expect it will arrive in a 150 gram ball, like the other effect yarns.
