Shipping charges are straight USPS charges, almost the same as eBay uses; my store has a direct link to USPS that figures the charges based on weight. The weights are the same as I used for the eBay listings, and those came from actual weights of the item packed for shipping.
All very straightforward.
The weights are given with each item in the catalog. I will be watching to be sure they are correct.
This store is smart and does not offer First Class shipping on any order weighing more than 13 ounces – it’s the USPS limit for First Class mail. When you mail a letter at a drop box or Post Office do you see the “13 ounce rule?” that’s what it is, the first class weight limit. That limit has been the same for years.
eBay didn’t care what the weight was, it would allow First Class on anything. However, the charges generally added up to slightly over the Priority mail fees and I sent the package Priority.
Refunds for shipping over-charges will continue on an as-needed basis, I just do not anticipate much need.
